Career development is everything.

From the day I was promoted to a people manager, I made career development for my team a top priority.

I built resources, advocated from my team to get extra learning opportunities, and tried to bring in experts to help as all grow together.

Most importantly, I developed a career growth template and framework that was used on a monthly and quarterly basis.

It's designed to empower you to understand where you are today, where you want to get to, and HOW you can get there.

I trained every one on my team and did specific training for my managers on how to use it during one-on-ones, quarterly career growth conversations and performance reviews.

My call to action is, please, if you're a people manager, make career growth a priority. Your success, the business's success, and your team's success depends on it.
