Should enablement live under marketing? I think yes, it should not be role specific enablement like sales skills.


Marketing leaders should spend more time enabling their teams and the other GTM teams.

Should enablement live under marketing? I think yes, it should not be role specific enablement like sales skills. 

This person should teach the other teams about the different campaigns that are running, product information, customer journey, customer insights, and anything that will help GTM teams better serve the customers.

Marketing should have at least one person, full- or part-time depending on the size of the company, dedicated to enabling the sales and customers success teams.   

They can pull in the right subject matter experts to do the teaching but they are the ones to coordinate and help lead the sessions with sales and customer success.

The more you can enable people to do their job better and perform as one team, the more your business will win.
