Gone are the days of ebooks and whitepapers.
Here are the three types of offers that I'm betting big on.
1) Free tools. It's so cheap and easy to build a valuable tool for your ideal customer profile today. From calculators, to assessments, to benchmarking assistants, to chatbots. Free tools are going to be everywhere in the next couple of years in B2B.
2) Research studies. Nothing beats a great set of data with actionable insights. Original content created using first or third party data with strong storytelling is going to be what wins the hearts and minds of your buyers and customers. Not some generic ebook.
3) Crowd-sourced POVs. Speaking of original, emotional content. Crowd-sourced point of view pieces are going to be what becomes the new normal for marketing teams. Interviewing people and getting their deep perspectives and stories on a topic and pulling out the real meaning and feelings are what will separate content from all other 'ai content'
One other thing.
Requiring an email address for a content asset today is just not smart anymore.
You're literally competing with LLMs and deep research models that will produce more and better results.
